Resilience Characteristics and Driving Mechanism of Urban Collaborative Innovation Network—A Case Study of China’s New Energy Vehicle Industry

The innovation ecosystem of the new energy vehicle industry is highly complex and spans several sectors; it important to increase resistance network. This paper explores regional resilience in context China’s industry. Using patent cooperation data from 2011 2021, we construct a three-stage urban collaborative network analyze its structural characteristics. We also develop evaluation index system measure nodes. Furthermore, propose framework for analysis that operates at network, community, node levels. Through our network’s characteristics evolution, investigate driving mechanisms behind formation using exponential random graph model (ERGM). Empirical results demonstrate expanding strengthening, with increased ability withstand uncertainty. Notably, distribution exhibits spatial heterogeneity, cities eastern central regions demonstrating higher than those other areas. study finds economic development investment education technology can enhance connections resilience. Additionally, this reveals strong dependence inter-city on geographical proximity.
